Lesley, I am very impressed with the composition of "The Ruins of Garibaldi." The combination of lines and loose colors adds interest as well. By angling the bricks that lead upward on the right hand side you give the viewer an easy rhythm to move into the artwork. As well, the other borders across the top and down the left side frame the view beyond. We look and then look again as you have directed the viewers eye to this area of interest.
